Two La Salle Students Headed to Unique Eight-Year Program

La Salle Academy seniors Michael H. Danielewicz and Christopher M. Piette have been awarded National Merit Scholarships and will take the extraordinary step of entering Brown University’s eight-year program to become medical doctors.

“Given that Brown’s renowned and special eight-year pre-med and medical school program admits only about 60 students each year from around the world, we are very proud of Michael and Christopher” said La Salle President Brother Michael Mc Kenery.

Brown University’s Communication Office said that the school could not remember two students from the same high school being admitted to the special eight-year program in the same year.
