Visitors to DENA Schools

We've had "out of District" and International visitors in four of our DENA Schools.

At San Miguel School in Providence, their visitor came from "down under," trekking half way across the globe from St. Bede’s College (high school) in Melbourne, Australia. Paul Carroll spent about 3 months living at the St. Joseph's Community in Pawtucket, and volunteered at San Miguel, where he had the opportunity to teach the students about his culture, while he learned about ours.

"The San Miguel kids amaze me with their respect, positive attitude, and the polite way they conduct themselves. It's just a great feeling to walk through the door each day and know I get to work with them." - Paul Carroll

At the Martin de Porres Schools, Brother Enrico Muller from Scampia (Naples Italy) visited for several days, learning about MDP and hanging out with students. 13 young people and two staff members from Bishop Kelly in Tulsa, Oklahoma (Midwest District) also visited MDP to complete their service projects and while they were here, had the opportunity to stop in to the Lasalle School at St. Gabriel's Parish and De La Salle School in Freeport.
