National Association of Social Workers Award

On June 22, 2011, Sue Kershaw Sczuroski, Senior VP of Treatment Programs, and Beth Lemme Bixby, VP of Treatment Programs, jointly received the Robert S. Burgess Community Service Award from the RI Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. "The Robert S. Burgess Community Service Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated an ability to start and conduct innovative programs or special activities serving vulnerable population in Rhode Island. Robert Burgess was the director of the Council for Community Services, an agency that represented the finest in community organizing. This award has been given out since 1985."

These individuals received the award for their hard work in the Preserving Families Network [PFN] and for overseeing its successful development over the past several years. We have served over 700 youth and maintain an amazing rate of 85% of youth who remain or are being release to their homes. Given their No Reject No Eject policy—this is truly outstanding.
