Calvert Hall Goes Polar for MD Special Olympics

Polar Bear Plunge on January 27, 2012, students from Calvert Hall will participate in the Frigid Friday Cool Schools Challenge at Sandy Point State Park. The day kicks off the 16th Annual Polar Bear Plunge, an event sponsored by the Maryland State Police to benefit the Maryland Special Olympics! Over 2000 plungers from Maryland schools participated in the 2011 Cool School Challenge, raising over $150,000. Last year’s Calvert Hall team raised over $4,200, while this year’s team, The Red C, hopes to commit over 40 plungers and raise over $5,000 in sponsorships and donations!
