Welcome Letter

Dear Lasallians,
Welcome to the Office for Mission and Ministry of the District of Eastern North America! We are privileged to be involved in the foundational stages of our new District. It is an exciting time as we continue the journey that was begun more than a decade ago to unite the three former Districts of Baltimore, Long Island-New England, and New York into one. This journey has been trying at times but filled with great promise. We personally commit ourselves to ensuring that this promise is honored and fulfilled in the coming months and years.

Our Office primarily exists to serve you—the individuals and ministries of the District of Eastern North America. We also welcome the opportunity to serve our colleagues in the rest of the USA/Toronto Region and the international Lasallian community. In this website you will find information about our Office, District structures, programs, and available resources. We want this to be a dynamic site that supports and advances our Lasallian mission. We encourage you to visit often and provide us feedback on how we can improve our web page or anything about our Office and therefore better serve your needs.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle often responded to all things that came his way with the words “God be blessed”. Indeed, it is a time that offers great hope and new beginning but not without challenges to get our new District underway. So as we move forward we enthusiastically say “God be blessed” as we encounter the exciting opportunities that await us all.
