What is Looking Back?

As you may know, these are exciting and pioneering times for everyone associated with the District of Eastern North America. All of our administrators and committee members are well-grounded in the present, aiming high for a brighter future for all. But what about yesteryear and our legacy? Isn't it prudent to occasionally take a look into the past to see from where we have come? Where is the heritage of the former Baltimore, LI-NE, New York, and Toronto Districts being kept?

Led by District Archivist Br. Joe Grabenstein and with support from our District Archivists Ms. Amy Surak and Br. Walter Farrell -- along with the District’s Leadership Team and Visitor Br. Dennis Malloy, who appreciate legacy -- work to coordinate in presenting these monthly historical tidbits for your enjoyment and nostalgic pleasure.

Within each of the monthly entries, featured categories include:

• Captured in Time, a vintage photo from days past
• Lasallian Literature - a reprinted article from District publications
• 75 Years Ago & 50 Years Ago - tracing news tidbits and events from the year
