5/15/2011 - Providence, RI - La Salle Academy, Providence, hosted a District-wide video contest throughout the months of March and April ahead of our Lasallian Founder's Day, May 15th."His Work Through Your Lens" was an exciting way for students in our Lasallian schools and agencies to explore the work of John Baptist De La Salle and examine how his vision guides and informs our various learning communities.
Any student or group of students currently enrolled in a Lasallian school or agency in the District of Eastern North America was eligible to create a short (1-5 minute) video depicting their interpretation of the vision/work of John Baptist De LaSalle present at their ministry.
This contest was conceived to prompt the young people in our care to further explore both the history of our Founder and his vision as it is put into practice in our schools and agencies today. Submissions are posted here on the DENA website for Founder’s Day and week, and will also be screened publically as part of the Rhode IslandLasallian Association Group (RILAG) year-end gathering in May.
A special thanks and congratulations to our entrants. Happy Founder's Day and Week!
