Br. Kevin Stanton, Director
The Christian Brothers' Development Office has its origins in the establishment in 1918 of the Saint La Salle Auxiliary. The Auxiliary’s Memorial Card program was founded at that time to provide support for the formation of our young Brothers. In more recent years the scope of our development efforts has expanded to include support for special educational ministries and the retirement needs of the Brothers.
Annual Giving

Donations may be in the form of:
- Cash, Checks, and Credit Cards

Planned Giving
Wills
Donors are invited to consider insuring the continuation of their good works by including the Christian Brothers in their wills. Those who have already executed their wills may readily amend them through a codicil which designates the Christian Brothers as a beneficiary. (Legal title: Brothers of the Christian Schools – District of Eastern North America)
Lasallian Heritage Society
The Society recognizes living and deceased donors who have included the Christian Brothers in their wills. The names of benefactors are listed in the Annual Report of Giving published each fall.
Life Insurance Policies
Gifts may be made by naming the Christian Brothers as a primary, secondary or last beneficiary under a new or existing policy.
Gift Opportunities
Donate toward a specific need
Retired and Infirm Brothers
Gifts in support of our retired and infirmed Brothers are a wonderful expression of gratitude for their lives of educational service to youth. Benefactors are daily remembered in the Masses and community prayers of the Brothers.
San Miguel Schools
In the spirit of St. La Salle’s concern for poor children, the Brothers returned to Middle School work in 1997 with the opening of the first San Miguel School in Camden, NJ. In 2002 the second opened in Washington, DC, under the sponsorship of St. John’s College. The third, La Salle Academy came into existence on the site of the original La Salle College High School in North Philadelphia in 2003. These schools, which serve at-risk minority students at little cost to their parents are named in honor of Brother Miguel Febres Cordero of Equador, the first canonized Christian Brother in the Americas.
Overseas Missions
Christian Brothers of the District of Eastern North America currently serve the educational needs of youth in East Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria), Asia (Philippines), Central America (Nicaragua), and the Middle East (Palestine). Donors are invited to consider supporting our schools and the training of native Brothers in these developing countries.
Christian Brother Formation
The education and formation of our young Brothers continues to be an area needing the support of our benefactors. We are greatly indebted to all those who so generously assist us in this vitally important area.
