Vision Statements...

We, the Brothers of DENA, Choose a Vision for

MISSION which…

  • Is faithful to its origins, dedicated and committed to the evangelization of the young through the ministry of educational service of the poor;
  • Seeks new forms of educational ministry for the service of the poor and the young;
  • Welcomes the call of past General Chapters to include in our mission the promotion of social justice, the rights of the child, and the emerging needs of families.

LASALLIAN FORMATION which…

  • Continues to honor and collaborate with all persons committed to the Lasallian mission providing appropriate formation and genuinely incorporates them into the evolving model of association;
  • Expands Lasallian education and formation opportunities at the local, district, regional, and international levels for Brothers and partners;
  • Supports the identification of persons among Brothers and partners to serve as educational leaders and provides for their spiritual and professional formation, especially for the service of the poor;
  • Articulates the role of the Brothers in the Lasallian mission in the 21st century.

VOCATIONS which…

  • Prioritizes committed, focused, and imaginative programs to foster a culture of vocations within our new District;
  • Engages Brothers and partners to identify and encourage young men to consider our way of life;
  • Trusts in God’s Providence and our renewed efforts to attract many new members to our Institute.

COMMUNITY which…

  • Strengthens our fraternal bonds by honoring the needs and talents of all Brothers providing support, encouragement, and a vibrant prayer life;
  • Recognizes and values the diversity in age, ability, ministry, and styles of community living as means of developing healthy relationships among the Brothers and their partners in mission;
  • Explores different models of community living that might resonate better with today’s youth;
  • Commits us to the responsible stewardship of our financial resources.

As men of faith and zeal, we accomplish this vision through our availability and professional competence on behalf of the mission. as we acknowledge the challenges of geographical expanse and “cultural” differences, we also recognize the power of the presence of the brothers as a welcoming and hospitable face of the church in the world today. this vibrant presence and support of the brothers maximizes the quality and vitality of our ministries and communities.
