What is the District of Eastern North America?
 The Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools is an international religious community of men in the Roman Catholic Church. The worldwide Institute that sponsors schools and other educational ministries in over 80 countries is divided into a number of large geographic regions. The Region of USA/Toronto is further divided into districts. Each district has a local religious superior and other structures to support the religious life of the Brothers and ministries within the geographic area of the district.
The District of Eastern North America has been officially created and encompasses the historic districts of Baltimore, Long Island-New England, and New York — all within a geographic area that reaches from Toronto to Baltimore, Detroit to Providence, and most areas in between.
This new District will best meet the challenges and opportunities of Lasallian religious life and ministry.
