Buffalo, NY – On Thursday, October 21, three ministries from the West of the District of Eastern North America gathered for a Vocation Summit. Young men and moderators from Central Catholic High School, Pittsburgh, PA; De La Salle Collegiate, Warren, MI; with St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute as host met to discuss the topic of choosing a path in life that fits one’s unique vocation.
Presenters were Fr. Joe Contarin and Deacon-to-be Willy Coker both from the Diocese of Buffalo, Bros. Paul Avvento and Kyle Mena from Pittsburgh Central Catholic, and Mr. Joshua Gehl, Campus Minister at St. Joe’s. Each represented a vocational path in life — Priesthood, Married Deacon, Brotherhood (religious life), and married life respectively. Mr. John Berlin accompanied the students from De La Salle Warren Michigan.
A very serious group of Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors participated in a robust discussion amongst the adults and their peers in authentically searching for God’s will in their lives. In addition, a great fraternity of Brotherhood was shared between these Lasallian institutions!
