Office for Mission & Ministry

The Office for Mission & Ministry serves to help support, animate, and facilitate the Lasallian mission for the diverse educational ministries of the District of Eastern North America.

The Office for Mission & Ministry specifically exists to:

  • Support and develop formation programs and activities that enhance and highlight the individual ministries and their associations within the broader Lasallian mission
  • Accompany, assist & support ministries and individuals in their efforts to deepen their knowledge, pedagogy, spirituality, and expressions of association, of and within the Lasallian charism
  • Ensure the vitality of and fidelity to the Lasallian mission for the benefit of present and future generations of young people

Integral to the function of the Office are the structures of the Mission Executive Council and four Lasallian associations.

Alan V. Weyland

The Executive Director for Mission & Ministry serves as the primary contact and connection between the District Office and the Lasallian Educational Ministries. He seeks to support and animate the Lasallian mission and values within each of the District’s ministries while also managing the Lasallian education and formation needs of the district. Additionally, he personally and actively advances the Catholic and Lasallian mission of the district and leads his office to do the same.

Maryann Donohue-Lynch

The Associate Executive Director for Mission & Ministry works under the guidance and direction of the Executive Director for Mission & Ministry to oversee the development, delivery and promotion of mission education and formation programs as well as mission support activities. Additionally, she personally and actively advances the Catholic and Lasallian mission of the district and assists her office to do the same.

Justin Martineau

The Associate Executive Director for Mission and Ministry brings new perspectives and ideas to the services and resources offered by the OMM to the DENA network of educational ministries. Justin’s areas of focus are strengthening Association efforts, accompanying and supporting Young Lasallians, and Lasallian education and formation services.
