Brother Robert Schaefer, FSC, Visitor of the District of Eastern North America (DENA), has appointed Brother Daniel Gardner, FSC as Director of the Office of Mission Advancement and the St. La Salle Auxiliary, effective September 1, 2026.

Brother Daniel has served as Interim Director since August 2025, providing leadership during a period of transition while helping shape a more mission-centered approach to advancement across the District.

In this role, he will help lead efforts to strengthen relationships with benefactors, expand major and planned giving, and more effectively communicate the impact of Lasallian ministries. These efforts support key District priorities, including mission formation, the vocation and formation of young Brothers, and the care of senior Brothers.

Brother Daniel brings experience in both secondary and higher education, having served as a teacher, administrator, and institutional leader. He was most recently part of the Theology Department and served as interim president at Manhattan University.

His appointment reflects a continued effort to align advancement work closely with the mission and ensure long-term sustainability for Lasallian ministries.

The District invites the Lasallian community to keep Brother Daniel in their prayers as he begins this new role.
