Throughout the school year, Brothers visit Juniors and Seniors in the ministries of the District of Eastern North America to discuss the topic of Vocation — a strong feeling of suitability for a particular career or occupation.
In your Junior year, we focus on the concept of Vocation itself and the fact that we are all called by virtue of our Baptism commitment, and to live out that call faithfully. In your Senior year, we focus on the Vocation of Brother, and a specific invitation is made to those who express interest to learn and experience more about the Vocation of a De La Salle Christian Brother.
Students in grades 9 to 12 from high school throughtout the District of Eastern North America, gather to engage with speakers who share their vocational journey in life.
These informal sessions provide the venue for you to learn more about the Brothers. We present a variety of guests whose vocational calling has been to the Priesthood, Brotherhood, and Single or Married Life. When you attend a Vocation Summit, you are given the opportunity to interact with the presenters, as well as students from other schools, in order to gain a deeper understanding of living out your Vocational Calling — no matter what that may look like for you.
Immerse yourself in the Brothers’ life. Spending the day as a teacher alongside students in need, pray in community with the Brothers, and join us for a fraternal meal — this gives you a glimpse into the life of a Christian Brother.
